Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Daily tasks day to day are general project support such as; ordering anything from mechanical pipe work to a dustpan and brush, involvement in the commercial side of project running and cost projection. Communicating with site managers and other subcontractors to ensure the project can run smoothly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I really enjoy the practicle side of it the best, being at work and seeing myself grow and learn and feel I get the most out of it. I enjoy parts of the academic side, but I feel I have learnt everything through work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a lot of new skills and developed on many existing skills, from professional resilience, emotional; resilience, growing and developing my technical knowledge as an engineer and my confidence in an over view of how a project runs.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
I think the apprenticeship programme is structured very poorly, and I have voiced this concern at the time with the appropriate members of the team.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
Minimal support. But I know if I asked for it, it would be there.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
minimal. I feel the tutors could have better up-to-date knowledge on modern construction methods and the provider could offer a better delivery of modules.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel it has no benefit to my role at all, besides the fact I am gaining the relevant qualifications needed to help me progress further in my career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are things to get involved with if you ask/show interest. A couple of us females have been asked to in/attend a working group in the south west which I am really pleased to be a part of.
