Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

my role is a trainee quantity surveyor. Usually i will spend the day on a construction site, looking at the costing and legal side of the , most of the time to do with subcontractors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme a lot, i believe it incorporates a good balance of off and on the job learning.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, i have developed so many new skills as someone who had little experience in the construction industry. I have learnt from university but mainly from working on a live construction site has developed my understanding the most.

I have received a lot of support from my employer through putting me through various training days and supporting my university learning.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive quite a bit of support from nottingham trent university when i am there (once a week) through both online and in person lectures and support networks like the online tutors and reviews.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i believe that it gives me a good broad knowledge of the industry and my role. It compliments the on the job learning very well by covering various different topics that i may not spend as much time doing in my every day life but still need to understand.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Occasionally there are extra curricular activities but they are rare.
