Carrying out commercial functions upon a live construction project - Procurement, Valuations, Variation review, reviewing design information, Contracts, reporting & on site H&S
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Enjoyed the programme as a further development from my previous level 3 apprenticeship to further develop my skills an put me into a prime position to begin running my own projects / high value packages

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Mainly picked up new skills in the client facing operations and reporting such as completing VCA's CVR's and cashflows

How well organised/structured is your programme?

the University side was well organised into the distinct units and subjects with clear assessments at end the ed of each module. the Work placement side I felt could be with better integration with he education side to ensure relevance etc and to better understand what skills I was developing on the course to supplement
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Employer provided excellent support on the day to day basis allowing to access course and personnel to assist with the studies and use the skill I was developing in practice. however the education side and the work placement side were not integrated with each other in anyway
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

strong level of support form the university to assist with my studies and RICS application process. due to being on day release i could not always make the best use of these items
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

having worked up from a Level 3 apprentice up to a degree apprentice within the same company and similar projects I have developed my skills slowly and steadily putting me in prime place to complete the course. overall i feel that the completion of this course was more a confirmation of my skills rather then developing new however it has helped overall with my role on site

Galliford Try (Building Southern) are a more people focused business compared to others in the industry and throughout my 10 years employment with them I have had access to many opportunities to develop myself and my skills ,experience many kinds of projects and be provided a friendly working environment
