4/5
Responding to emergency calls, attending pre-arranged community fire safety talks and demonstrations to reduce fire risks and increase safety, and working on station to hone these skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Very much so

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes. Every day I learn something new, from the minute workings of different buildings/infrastructures, how communities operate and cultures differ and how we should adapt our working styles to reflect this to best serve the community.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Structured enough, scheduled check-in days and workshops to ensure skills do not fade and learning is embedded.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Lots. Everyone from line manager to borough commanders and deputy assistant commissioners have spoken with me personally to ensure I am getting all of the support I need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Plenty. Apprenticeship coaches are very responsive and always on hand to provide advice and answer any questions I may have.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Very well. Training provided through the structure of my qualification is all directly linked with my role and enables me to hone my skills in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, plenty of sporting activities and clubs as well as social invites passed around almost every tour.
