I support people to live their best lives, I help with different aspects of their lives from support with personal care, cooking and cleaning and helping them to access the community and do meaningful activities.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the workshops where I get to chat with people who work in different sectors of care to get ideas from them and also share my ideas and experiences.

Yes I am continuing to learn new skills and build upon the ones that I had.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The course is very structured with every module having an e learning, a workshop and then progression activities to check for understanding.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received a lot of support from my manager and I know that I can go to them and get advice or guidance. They have also given me a lot of off the job training opportunities.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have received monthly reviews with my supervisor and I have emailed and phoned them when I have needed to change meetings and get some information.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The course has helped me to develop more confidence which I was lacking in myself.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have had coffee mornings and gatherings for the families for the people that we support so that the parents can see what it is like in the home and can get to know other peoples families.
