Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work within the Robotic Process Automation team, looking at solutions to currently manual processes that could ge automated to improve efficiency and time within the company. This involves analysis of the benefits of automating a process as well development of the solution itself.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is great and allows a great mix of on the job and off the job learning. There is always support there if needed and it really links in well with the role I'm currently doing at the RPA team!
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My skills surrounding coding and general computer use has seen a significant improvement as a result of my role. Looking at business improvement and actually developing these improvements has resulted in me learning key computer skills that I previously did not have.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Programme is well structured with the tutor going through topics that are coming up in future learning so we are aware of what is coming up. You can ask her any questions if you are confused on something and there is a genuine feel of care going into delivering the programme to us.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support is always available from mu employer. We have catch ups where I can express any concerns as well as my employer always being available if I did want to express any issues or concerns both on and off the job related. I feel I am well supported in all ways by my employer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have regular catch ups with my training provider, where we go over my progress since our last call. Here I can show what I have learnt and express any concerns I may have. The provider makes it clear that any issues should be voiced and I feel well supported in regards to achieving my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification links in extremely well with my current role. Everything I am learning can relate back to my everyday work and I have already started to implement methodologies and approaches to tasks that I have learnt on the programme. I have already seen a noticeable change in how I perform as a result of the topics I am learning.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of extra activities to get involved in at work. There are sports groups such as 5 a side football events as well as regular social and team events where departments get involved.

Why?
There's a great family feeling with british airways where everyone looks out for eachother in a free environment for everyone to be themselves. I love the diversity of people and work available and the environment in my opinion is a great place to work :)
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
Be yourself. British Airways is always looking for people who have a genuine passion for the work they do in this industry and showing this is always a great start to the application process. Confidence is key and being able to show how you would genuinely be a good candidate is always going to get you far.
