Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am a data scientist and typically spend my day working on various projects involving analysis, machine learning, dashboarding, etc., and I also often have team & stakeholder meetings to attend.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Really enjoy it, perfect balance of pushing me to learn more while not being overburdening. Culture here is amazing, people are very friendly and helpful.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yep, technical skills have improved - more exposure to coding (Python, SQL), machine learning, generative AI, etc. Also habe improved soft skills such as communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Pretty organised, we have 6 week courses with two assignments per course, easy to follow.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Adequate support, managers and colleagues willing to help with uni work and 'work' work too. Never felt like I didn't have enough help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
OK amount, from uni side communication can get a bit messy and confusing, sometimes resulting in misunderstandings about work and assignments. However, generally speaking, thry are proactive in helping us and making sure we have enough support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Sometimes training helps me with work, but I've often found that I learn things at work first and study it later, which I guess is fine as it makes uni work a lot easier.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yeah, like football, diversity groups, conferences both domestic and international.
