Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I had a Devops role as part of SDLC Engineering Team.
I worked on various internal applications through Full Stack Development in an Agile Team. For development I used CI/CD as part of the Nomura DevOps Module and Toolchain.

I was given a lot of responsibility for an intern, being treated more like an actual full time employee.
I handled numerous apps with thousands of users per week or business critical at the same time.

I received a lot of support and guidance during the placement from both my manager and mentor and also the team.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere was very positive. Almost everybody was eager to help, network or just have a chat. People easily understood personal requirements and thus were quite flexible.
Every Thursday, there was a Drinks on the terrace event where everybody from the firm was free to join to just have a drink and chat over the beautiful London view at the 6th floor at the Nomura Lane Office.
