A 4 year apprenticeship program where we complete a variety of placements across the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme as it gives me the opportunity to be able to see every aspect of the business and having the opportunity to network and work with colleagues from various different departments and experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I believe my leadership and communication skills have improved as I am constantly meeting with new colleagues almost every day. Also, I believe my time management skills have improved significantly as whilst working at British airways, I’m also working on my university assignments.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well structured, I am constantly supported and looked after by numerous Managers as well as also knowing when each placements begin and finish.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a significant amount of support from my managers as they are always looking to help and support us when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive a lot of support from the university as our lecturers are constantly supporting us with our learning for our modules. They are also constantly supporting us in terms of helping us with our assignments and giving us the necessary support as well as providing valuable feedback.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The modules help us understand the knowledge of key business functions and therefore gives us the ability to apply this knowledge in the workplace. I have seen many times where this has occurred.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are many different societies that British airways offers employees as well as many different volunteering opportunities.
