Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I work as an associate auditor at the moment. Day to day work depends on the time of year and what stage of the audit we are at. It can vary from testing accounts to completing walk throughs and smart forms.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
Overall the programme has been enjoyable but there have been times when it has been quite stressful as you are working to finish by deadlines.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Skills I have greatly developed are my excel skills and communication skills. I would use excel pretty much everyday and over time you develop your skills and through practice and learning from others. Communication is a skill that is essential to the job both internally and externally.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I would say it is very well organised and structured as we have really good support with any help we need. This comes from having a councellor and an apprenticeship coach. It is good that we get time off when doing our exams which allows us to free ourselves from distractions and any unnecessary stress.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support has been very as there is always someone available to answer any questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Training provider has been good as they provide enough material to allow us to prepare well for exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Training is the most important as I feel like learning on job and being able to apply what you have learnt is the best way develop your skills and get better at the role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I help out with mentoring with Greenwich university.
