Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
It was a virtual day for Discover EY -Women in Assurance. It was for one day and involved keynote speakers, a panel of employees who work at EY and talks from employees and the EY Career's team. It also involved workshops and there was plenty of times for questions to be asked and answered. The day was virtual and really helped me to envision what it would be like to work at EY in the future.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was very helpful as the day helped me to envision what it would be like to war at EY in the future. Furthermore, the panel of EY employees was helpful in answering any questions that were had and helped me to learn more about the culture at EY. Finally, the careers team was helpful in explaining the role and progression that the insight provides and gave us more information on each different EY office in the UK.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
One of the workshops during the day was about how to present yourself online and working on our elevator pitches which was very helpful. Furthermore, the day helped me to improve my team working skills when working with others in a breakout room. The day was focussed on improving our workplace and professional skills rather than academic skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere was lovely. Everyone seemed so happy to work at EY and the panel was friendly and helpful when answering questions. The company seems very inclusive and embraces diversity and there are many networks that employees can be a part of when working at EY. Lastly, all the employees seemed enthusiastic about working at EY

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
The insight was very enjoyable. The day was packed full of panels, keynote speeches and workshops. it was very informative on what it would be like to work at EY. There were many breaks throughout the day which helped break-up the day and keep concentration levels high.
