Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day can change depending on what we are doing so it can go from making off cables to power units or supply’s or making and fabricating containment to suit the installation, pulling cables in to supply various machines and pieces of equipment. To installing machines or equipment for the job at hand
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I feel like the programme overall is enjoyable when you are learning of someone that is not there just only to teach you they actually help you to understand what they are doing and why they are doing it to give you a better understanding of what the task and work you are doing
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt and developed my existing skills in many and various ways firstly I have learn new ways to use manual handling and mechanical handling to installing equipment, I have also learnt various skills within the electrical industry aswell from glanding of SWA to a set length to installing and fabricating tray and ladder and basket and much more

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel like the overall idea and structure is organised well but they are some small things that could do with a better understanding of to allow me as the apprentice to actually understand and learn from and have more of a direct approach and sometimes the information that I receive is vague.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a good amount of support from my supervisors and managers to allow me to progress safely and efficiently, and they try there best to make sure that I do have a good understand of the tasks what they request of me and if there is something that I need to do but don’t have the best of knowledge I know I can go and ask them for help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do receive a good amount of support from my training provider but sometimes I seem to have little issues understanding the full content of my qualification and my time frame of how long and what I am progressing my next task to but they do try and give me support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that my training provider do try there best to help me perform better in the role that I am doing I feel like they do try and get me to do all of the various things that you need to do to become a fully qualified electrician
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are extra curricular activities such as various networking events that you can volunteer to help like birminghams children’s runs and events and they host a apprentice away day every year to get the new apprentices to meet and network with the current apprentices

Research the company and if you know anyone that works there then speak to them
