Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Welding and fabricating requested jobs , this could include brackets or screws as an example, then ensuring they are kept to a standard of presentation required, this entire process could involve cutting material, cleaning material, then welding material.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I find it quite enjoyable, I prefer working with my hands and this job allows me to, it’s not overly repetitive and challenges your mind, it certainly keeps you active as well, it’s a great job to do especially in comparison to a less physical job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I’ve learnt how to weld and better construct, I’ve learnt how to keep things square and strong all while learning how to use new equipment I wouldn’t find myself using in any other opportunity.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It’s very well structured, it gives me hands on experience which is very valuable in this line of work, and gives one day at college each week which is enough to keep me knowledgeable and learn more in depth about the processes I do.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I’ve received a decent amount of support from my employer, always able to answer any questions regarding the work I’m doing all while able to provide insight on flaws that may have occured.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Quite a bit as well, due to the length of the qualification it allows us to go more in depth about each topic and have personal help if we need it, same for the practical part of the day.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It allows me to know every part about what I’m doing, it doesn’t just say what something is but how it is and how it works and the proper procedure on how to do it safely, which in this line of work, safer is better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
The company loves racing and have an inclusive spirit towards it, on top of that quite a few people enjoy golf so there is always something to get into.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Adi Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It’s a hands on job, which for many that is a must have requirement for them to do a job, and not only is it hands on but it’s quite intriguing as well, it has a healthy mix of problem solving and fabricating, it’s also satisfying to create something and see it.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Adi Group?
Be yourself and be engaged, be willing to learn and be willing to put the effort in.
