My role involves advising and Auditing Clients Taxable profits considering global and local changing legislation to ensure they remain compliant
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The program in my opinion is amazing it gives you a real opportunity and chance to grow in a corporate world with so many talented people around you supporting you along the way both professionally and personally. The program whilst sometimes challenging has really enabled me to grow in so many ways!

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt so much since joining it has really caused me to take ownership and pride in my work and taught me how to be a more active listener and be much more proactive

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is very well structured I always know well in advance when I've got training or any form of College coming up and it adheres to what my needs are, both challenging me and also offering me an opportunity to ask for help should I need it!
How much support do you receive from your employer?

EY continues to support me in everything I do. My managers and colleges are more than flexible when it comes to letting me take time to revise as well as going over anything I may of missed and don't quite understand
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Our training provider is always there between college and exams and even before! They make themselves as available as possible whether it be online or in person and are always happy to answer questions. First intuition manage to make quite complicated and confusing topics simple using mnemonics and examples to make you apply the concept to real life and normalise it
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Very well, Whilst I do work in tax some subjects are more broad and not as specific to my role they still nourish and enhance my overall knowledge and I find it very useful to expand my general understanding of accounting topics for my role in understanding more terms allowing me to be more versatile within my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes at EY there is so many opportunities to embrace there is all kinds of sports clubs such as football, rugby, hockey, netball etc, There is also less active clubs and societies that try to embrace all personalities and it there isn't an extra-curricular EY encourages you to create your own and are more than willing to support you

Why?
EY is such an amazing firm to work for, there's a stigma that joining a big 4 firm should feel daunting and you shall only be seen as a number, and whilst it is daunting! You are never seen as a number, EY is a peoples firm that encourages you to be yourself and add your own unique taste and flavour to the business allowing you to grow with EY supporting you in any matter to encourage your development and get the best version of you
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
I'd advise people to not stress so much! Whilst I've said it's daunting EY wants to see you and what your genuine self can offer so be yourself and have a want to learn and everyone can absolutely smash working here and can go very far should they wish to
