Learning about BA and the various departments. Involved project work and giving presentations.
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

I thoroughly enjoyed being at BA's HQ for the 4 days, I made lots of new friends who have similar interests to me. I also enjoyed working in a group and this improved my 'Working in a team' skills
How well organised was your work experience?

Overall, I was impressed with the structure of the 4 days, however, I noticed we usually started about 30 mins late. Starting on time at 9:30 would have been better rather than at 10am.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

Following this work experience, I'm 100% sure that I want to become a pilot, specifically for BA or if not, join the company by working in Waterside in either the Finance or operations department.

Improved communication and leadership skills which are crucial for becoming a pilot, which is something I aspire to be.

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I learnt a lot about the company and it's values and its future projects. I also learnt a lot about how to work for BA and how to make applications stand out from the crowd. I was also impressed with the amount of friendly people there are who work for BA.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

Yes plenty, since the placement, I have connected online with many BA employees from all ends of the business.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to British Airways?
Make sure you know a lot about the aviation industry and really think about whether if this is the right place for your career.
