Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I’m placed with a qualified electrician and were given a job to do and whilst completing the job , you pick up tips and tricks off the electrician which you will not learn in college and only when you have experience doing a certain job.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my apprenticeship as you get to meet all different people everyday, make new friends and I’m learning invaluable experience.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve learnt how to be more creative and think outside the box as sometimes a job requires you to come up with methods do complete the job.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Your apprenticeship is organised from the day you start till the day you become a qualified electrician.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support as they try to get you to sites closest to you so you don’t have to travel much and if you have any trouble on site they will help you as much as they can .
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The college gives you all the help they can in one day but if you have more questions you can send them a email and they normally respond quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualifications will enable me to be safer and have a better u restating of what type of work I’m doing which is vital.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Every couple of months they have a 5 aside football tournament which is good fun and they have a Christmas party which is when they give out awards.

I would recommend pheonix becuase they are a good compony that has lots of work , and they will help you succeed in getting your electricians qualifications.

Try to turn up everyday for work and study hard to get your qualifications.
