Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Support the children’s learning by providing daily, enriching activities. Look after their basic needs by helping them in the bathroom and providing food and water to them. I also support their emotional needs, by providing comfort and support.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoyed my course, as I could see my own personal development improve and see how my interventions with the children became more educational and enriching as I continued further on the course.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed my prioritisation skills mainly. I have also developed my communication skills, both verbal and written, to both parents and coworkers. I have learned how to extend activities and make it as challenging yet easy enough to complete as possible

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme was very well structured, I could clearly see what courses were coming up and their due date. I was always informed on what topic was coming up next, so I could prepare myself before the actual course began.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received unconditional support from my employer. They gave me regular time out when I requested it, and sat down and helped me with a topic / assignment if I ever got confused or overwhelmed. They were my Number 1 supporters.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider was superb. She reassured me that no question was ‘stupid’ or ‘too small’ to be asked, continually helping me outside of our meeting hours if I needed the help. She took the time to explain things in further detail if I wasn’t sure.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Being qualified now helps me perform so much better in my role. I now understand the important of certain aspects of the job, rather than just knowing that I need to do it. My activities with the children are a lot more educational, too.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, as a company we have annual Christmas parties, which are a lot of fun. It’s nice to see my coworkers in a non work environment, and have a chance to get to know them better. this strengthens our communication and teamwork. As a room, we often go out for meals.
