Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Legal practice area insights, networking with employees and working with fellow interns on a group project to present at the end of the programme. Also lots of opportunities to ask questions.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the legal division and how this interacts with the wider support services as well as the client-facing areas of the bank. We heard from current employees in roles available to graduates, an indispensable insgiht.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills such as communicating eloquently with those more senior to ourselves as well as how to ask questions with clarity of expression. I have developed by ability to communicate effectively and my broader knowledge of a legal division in an investment bank.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture and general atmosphere was warm, welcoming and inclusive. Everyone made time for the interns, were more than willing to answer your questions and give their time to you.
