Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
In my home department my day to day consists of supporting assembly production from daily gemba meetings and collaborating with other departments to progress with my projects and topics which i am responsible for delivering to a good standard and on time. I use software such as excel and powerpoint on a daily basis - some projects needing more complicated software such as power apps and catia v5.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I would say i enjoy my program, it offers plenty of exciting work based opportunities and chances to persue your interests. In terms of the education, i feel like it is completely unprepared, annoying and leads to stress as the training provider does not have the resources to teach us - leading to unsupportive teaching, confusion and ultimately failure.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I feel like my skillset is constantly evolving from learning new, more efficient ways of working such as excel shortcuts to learning a completely new software such as power apps there are plenty of opportunities to boost my learning. However, due to responsibilities, sometimes you don't get the opportunity to persue skills you want to learn or develop.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
At work it is very organised and set out, from my preferences. For example this year at work I have a full plan on what i am doing at what point in the year from in my home department to different places I am visiting in the factory. From an education side we have a structure but due to many roadblocks it keeps getting delayed and there are not enough resources to provide our large class with the required tutoring.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Employer support is very good and helpful.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
Training provider support is below average - I do not receive suitable help from my teachers, thorough feedback and guidance or 1:1 support in class.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I would say all the skills are transferable one way or another but it depends on what i am doing at work and where i am working.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes, however these have dropped off in the last year and i feel like apprentices are excluded from wide events such as intern socials.
