To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The apprenticeship programme is good, with many different opportunities to see all different parts of the business on placements around the plant. This is organised by me and my home department as we can cater to what would be most beneficial to my current job role. This also gives me a direct form of contact with other managers in the buisness.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt useful skills in project management and and taking more of a lead role in what I do daily.
I also have learnt some data analytics skills in training. These trainings help due to most of my day dealing with lots of data. This has helped to speed up my daily jobs.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The structure of the program within work is good, but from the training provider side, there is little to no structure in what we do. At work we have a good relationship and contact with our apprenticeship co-ordinator. This means feedback about college and other aspects of work is really easy.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
From a work point of view, I feel like I get a lot of support from both my home department team, and the apprenticeship team. They have been very supportive of any and all issues or problems that have come up at work. This is helpful as it helps feel included and valued at work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
There is little to no support from the training provider. There is a few teachers that do offer support and guidance to what we are doing. But we struggle to get feedback or support from others, and are left to do it all our self with no guidance. This has caused a few issues as people feel like they dont know what they are doing, or even learning anything in the lessons.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
I dont see much of a direct help with my college course to my job role, this is due to the lessons not fully teaching us the content. More teaching us how to pass the tests or assignments. This therefore feels less helpful to my job role and daily activities.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There is some extra activities that we can get involved in, this could be things such as the green goblin event. School events, such as careers events or talks to schools. Within my home department we go out on some social events out of work hours, and we hold different workshops to help with different topics.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend it more as a good way to get into the business, not as much for the apprenticeship its self. The opportunities within work and the work environment is really good. I just dont enjoy the college side of it, this is mainly due to there being no structure or relevance to my job role.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
Some tips I would give to people who are applying or thinking of applying would be to just give it a go. There is no harm in applying and if you do get in to the company it really can open up what you can do next as the business has so many different departments and roles.
