Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day to day consists of shadowing colleagues in them manufacturing areas and learning the processes well enough to carry them out myself.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I mostly enjoy my programme, however some days/placements become tedious and boring. Additionally, the training providers are disorganised.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Throughout the duration of my apprenticeship I have learnt how to handle different material types, how to improve and make general systems/processes more lean and better understand quality standards and processes.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The work side of the programme is very well structured with accessible placement plans until the end of the programme. The College side of the programme however is very disorganised and constantly changing.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My work place is very supportive of us.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider is very disorganised with aspects of the course constantly changing. The support options are there but workplace options seem more preferable.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The first course I studied (furniture making) has been very useful to my role as I learnt more about the materials I use day to day and how to work with them. My second course (Engineering) is so far less useful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are social groups available which offer talks/podcasts.
