Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My daily tasks consist on helping internal and external customers on validating parts and full vehicle validation, this can be due to either a part being out of spec or there being a problem on the line which need a full measurement analysis to figure out which parts have a problem.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I started the programme in a different department where I did enjoy my time there however since moving to engineering my experience of the programme has changed a lot, this is mainly because of the job role i am in now which is metrology as i find it a lot more engaging

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
There have been many new skills which I have recently learned within my new job placement which consists of using and getting experience on using different programs, I have also learnt how to deal with customers in the best way possible which I would say this has definitely improved my communication skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
In my opinion I think that the structure of the programme is very well organised especially with the amount of daily tasks it also helps with out different each day to day tasks are. There are also many project which we are able to get on with which we would have to take responsibilities for example at the moment i am currently helping with the site extension project
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Personally I have received support from my employer especially when it came to moving course within college as I have now in the Level 4 HNC in engineering which i am now in the second year and if there is a problem then my employer is always there to support
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
When working towards my qualifications if I do get stuck or need to ask any questions I am able to get support from my training provider who will help me achieve my grades and push me to be able to reach the highest grade possible which is very helpful especially in this new course
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification doesn't help me perform better in my role depending only because on how different the units are and how they don't link with my day to day tasks at work. However the unit's which are related are very useful to learn especially doing a unit on metrology as it helped me to learn more about the department.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are many extra curricular activities which are at work that everyone can get involved in this ranges from social actives such as go karting after work or going out for a meal. But it also have sport teams where there are clubs after work such as football and basketball

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The reason I would recommend rolls royce motor cars to a friend is because of the amount of different skills which can be learnt as an apprentice especially during placement as you are able to go to wood shop, leather shop and paintshop where you can learn a variety of different skills.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
The tips and advice i would give to others if they are applying for rolls royce motor cars is to be yourself and to also not to be scared when applying to the apprenticeship as everyone is lovely and are all there to help you achieve the most you can. There will also be something for everyone here
