Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work in Audit, so most of my day to day responsibilities include testing accounts, selecting samples and documenting them. I speak with our clients at times to better understand their processes
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy it a lot as it pushes me to work hard and learn something new every day. I also really enjoy working with my colleagues

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes! Lots of excel skills as well as soft skills such as working with a team and speaking with senior members of staff

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is as organised as it can be! There are a lot of aspects to your apprenticeship programme such as exams, on the job and off the job training and so on. I think EY do a great job of supporting us.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a lot of support in terms of study leave and regular feedback meetings where our year of graduates and school leavers can share their opinions on the things they would like to change about our programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
You receive quite a lot of support as you have a dedicated apprenticeship coach that supports you as well as a structured college programme
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It helps me understand why we do what we do and helps me think critically
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, we have some office wide events as well as small gatherings we organise with our peer group, which is always great fun!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend EY to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I feel like I'm reaching my full potential as I am always encouraged to try harder and learn more. It gives me a great sense of community and responsibility.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
Be yourself! Don't be afraid to speak up and connect with others on your experience day. Do share your LinkedIn details at the end of the day to keep in touch, that's how I met one of my good friends who works with me now :)
