Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I support the different projects that are involved with upgrading/modifying the structure and equipment used in the plant. All the different electrical components across the assembly line is supported by myself and my colleague, attending meetings and ensuring the equipment is up to standard throughout the whole ordering process.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy my programme very much, even though it was unorganised to begin with (they had my course down incorrectly and took a while to be updated), everyone is very kind and helpful, maybe a little slow to get back but otherwise pleasant interactions occur.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt how to lead and present, as well as team work, and being open to colleagues and new people. The job role has allowed me to learn further than just my education, in an automotive industry, different systems and electrical components, as well as how the plant is connected all as one.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Not very. The beginning was very messy, but the programme was in the process of being improved from previous feedback. They had an issue with my course, as my degree was put down as mechanical engineering, whereas my job role requires electrical. This meant that I had to contact the University to get it switched, which took a while.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive lots of support, i am very happy with the support been offered and given throughout my apprenticeship and i feel very comfortable going to my apprentice managers for support if needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
We have support, if work and studying gets too much, we are given extra support and the workload is not too much to a point where we are struggling
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
There are many networking events, as well as school events to spread the word about apprenticeships.
