Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a Level 2 Sewing Apprentice. I spend my whole apprenticeship in a interior trim centre, where every or every two months I have placements to complete within the area, such as cutting, sewing, seat build. Currently I am spending 3 day at Rolls-Royce the rest of the 2 days is at Chichester College.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really glad that I made this decision in my life. I believe is a great opportunity and I try to take and make the most of it. I really enjoy it, I received great support from everyone so far.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I feel like I learn every day a new skill or there is always opportunity to get more knowledge and utilise it by end of each placement.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is room for improvement, especially on the job description as I feel it was not accurate and was misleading. However I feel well supported by my managers and HR if I need anything.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel supported, however the apprentice program needs a bit more structure. Maybe a book to guide through the program .
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I feel happy with the support I received.

I think is well linked together.

I think is a brilliant opportunity and plenty of doors open if somebody is willing to learn and put effort is. I wish I entered in years ago.

The application is takes a long process, however dont be afraid do your best as you can and you will succeed.
