Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Currently in my home department who manage the quality aspect of the interior trim centre for all of the vehicles. Day to day tasks include validating errors as well as ensuring equipment is up to standard. It also includes lots of data recording and formatting to represent where issues are solved.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far the people have been excellent and the workload has been alright. Enjoying my time here so far.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a basic understanding of various different processes that are used to validate the interior trim inside and outside of vehicles. I have also developed a proficiency in an app making software used by the team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

At times can be a bit spontaneous, so some days are more packed with work than others. The University course is fairly well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My department have been very supportive.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

So far my training provider has given lots of support. However as expected this varies between individual teachers.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Engineering can prove important to understand the construction and design processes of different aspects of the car.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I go out with my department every now and again to events such as dinners and bowling. However this depends on your department.
