Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
As a paint and damage apprentice I spend my time polishing cars, spot repairing, removing dents and more. I currently do placements so it is different everyday
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme itself is enjoyable, we get good experience and connections, however i do wish that we do more practical tasks at work that are more relevant to what we learn at college.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I had no knowledge prior to this apprenticeship so everyday I have been learning new skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme has been well structured so far, I have been made aware of all days I will be at college months in advance and also learn relevant skills throughout both work and college. The structure of what I do on both ends is also provided months in advance so i am familiar with what I will be doing in the coming months.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive a relatively good amount of support. I had some trouble in the first few months of my apprenticeship and everything got resolved professionally and quickly. Any issues I do encounter get taken seriously by HR and they try and help me resolve them as quickly as possible and get me back on track.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
My training provider keeps in regular contact, whether that be in person meetings or video chats or sometimes just messaging. They give us reports and constantly check in with managers to make sure we are performing well outside of the time we spend there.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The programme with our training provider is more general skills. They are very useful and will help in my apprenticeship but extra development is needed to keep up with my apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
We have experienced a few activities but they are very minimal and happen scarcely.
