Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a day to day basis, my job involves looking after my section of the production line. fixing any faults that occur on the system. as well as helping out other departments and improving processes. when the line is not running i can find myself completing planed maintenance activity's. this can involve investigating issues or carrying out preventative maintenance.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I feel that I have enjoyed the apprenticeship. There are a few reasons why I have enjoyed it. One of these is the learning and skills aspect as i have enjoyed learning new skills and developing my knowledge. Another reason is that i feel that all of the apprentices get on very well and this allows for a very good environment.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Throughout the 4 years of my apprenticeship I have developed a wide range of new skills as well as building on my existing skills that I brought into the apprenticeship. The skills that I have developed through out the years have be worked on through a mix of practical and theory work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I fell that the structure of the program is well organised, and that communication is good throughout. examples of this are that in the first year we spend it in the onsite college. Then for the next year and a half we rotate through the different areas. this then allows us to get a understanding of the whole business.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a good amount of support from my employer, they allow me to ask for additional help and support when needed. they are also very accommodating if any issues occur and try they best to help out. we also have reviews with our training managers every 3 months this allows for us to be set targets and raise any issues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Throughout the apprenticeship, our training providers have supported us in getting our qualifications, in a few different ways. such as giving sessions to complete work. but there have been times where all of the work has been self work, with little guidance on the aims of the work its self.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I fell that the qualifications and skills that i have learnt are beneficial and useful for my job role. For example the first year we worked on key skills and knowledge that is used all the time through out the job. But there have been aspects of the course that are less relevant.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are a wide range of extra-curricular activities that take place. such as football and other sports teams. the social aspect is as good as you chose to make it, as there are lots of opportunities to help with networking events as well some examples of these are the apprenticeship events.
