Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role involves:
- Management of a large fleet of vehicles including arranging servicing and event preparation
- Competitor Analysis against our models to see differences in pricing and option structure
- Answering retailer queries around ordering
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme, and the variety of opportunities that I am able to get involved with. Apprentices in the business are trusted the same as any other employee and are valued.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed:
- Presenting in front of large audiences
- Attention to detail
- Time management
- Developing professional relationships

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is well structured, with one day a week dedicated to going to university (Monday) and then working the other four days, which can be both in the office or from home. There are also dedicated days for studying built in to the programme to ensure that university workload is managed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is supportive and values the benefit that apprentices bring to the business. If I need additional time during working hours to complete university work if a deadline is coming up this is allowed as long as my key/urgent tasks are still completed. As being an apprentice you have both the work and study to manage.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider supports with completing university assignments, and making sure that I have been taught the necessary content and theories to complete the work assigned to me. If additional help is needed, we are able to reach out to help with this.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification provides me with the foundational knowledge that lots of business processes are built and developed from. This provides a greater understanding into processes and gives reason as to why they are developed in certain ways. Other modules have also given me a greater insight to other areas of the business that I do not directly work with, but helps to understand the impact that all departments have on business success.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved in outside of working hours such as football. There are also a range of initiatives that employees are able to get involved in to meet other people from around the business such as the Charity Champions, who help to organise Charity Events as well as Connect One, where you get randomly assigned someone else in the business to get to know better over coffee.
