I am currently completing placements around the Mini Plant, assisting with topics, to ensure high product quality and efficiency is maintained during manufacturing processes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed this programme. Learning new skills, networking with a broad range people of differing backgrounds and skillsets, to enhance my own ability and knowledge.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have been able to develop an array of problem solving skills and techniques, through the utilisation of in-house processes and software, ensuring compliance with both company and industry standards.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I would say the course is very well structured, with many opportunities to develop in multiple areas of the business.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

You are well supported, and if you show ambition, that you're driven, and keen to learn, it will get you far in both the company and the industry.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Even with only one day of structured learning from the training provider a week, I do feel there is a great amount of support, and they are always willing to assist.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe it greatly improves my ability to perform in my role, learning new skills and knowledge all of which is relevant to my job, and allows me to provide a fresh perspective to the team, whilst on placements.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am involved with the Charity team at work, helping to organise and run events to raise money for our house charity. There are also opportunities to attend social events alongside students on internships, and weekly football sessions.

I believe there are few companies which are able to provide not only a broad range of opportunities and roles appealing to a people of different interests, but also the high caliber of training and career progression opportunities. For me BMW Group is the best option.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
Ask questions, show you're keen to learn, and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Try and secure work experience opportunities before applying, to show your passion for the industry and expand your skills. Thoroughly read the job description and ensure this is the right role for you.
