Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Performing maintenance on technical equipment and running the production of car bodies through the shop. As an apprentice, this involves learning as much as I possibly can from my time as an apprentice and partaking in activities with other Maintenance associates.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I do enjoy my program and think it is well managed, some days can be easier than others but that comes with everything.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt a lot of technical and hand skills since the start of my apprenticeship. This has been due to the hands on jobs I have done, alongside the technical information that has been given to me since I started.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The program is reasonably well structured, with time and consideration taken for the best interests of all involved. However, there could be minor adjustments across the program which I think apprentices may gain more from but on the whole it is very good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer with regular check up and them always having the time and availability whenever I have needed them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The training providers have been excellent in giving support towards my qualifications and have been really helpful in giving advice and sharing knowledge on how to get there.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I believe it to be good, some parts I can safely say I am yet to use in my role but that also works vice-versa.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There have been many opportunities in the first 2 years of my apprenticeship to get involved in social activities and events. Since my second year it has been harder and fewer opportunities but that comes with being busy at work and moving onto shifts.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Because they are a prestigious company to work for, offering many opportunities and benefits along the way. It is a privilege to say that I work for BMW Group and would certaintly suggest others to get involved the way I did.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
Be polite and well-mannered, it will get you far. Be enthusiastic and willing, the more you stand out the better and don't be the one who doesn't say a word. Personality means a lot more than you may think.
