Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

A day to day overview consists of coming into work, joining morning meetings and handover discussions, getting assigned breakdown or project tasks from the team leader, and then working on breakdowns for the day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program to a high extent because every day I am learning new things, I am being introduced to new things and retrieving information which I can then take back and put it on top of previous knowledge.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt more knowledge and skills, for example i know about certain systems and programs, i know how to operate basic functions on control units, and also i know about many components
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The organisation as a whole, and in the machining area is not very well structured. there is a lot of things that people do not follow which makes it harder for the workers who need to actually do the job on the shop floor.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I do receive great support. whenever I am in need of help I can always ask and get a guaranteed answer, whether it is what I need or not. By overall the communication is great.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

In regards to working towards our qualification (and I being aware of it) the only thing our training provider has involvement in, is to encourage us to hand in on time, and to also encourage the college to do their best in educating us.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Our qualification is a great deal of knowledge to us that helps us every step of the way at work, every little piece of knowledge has proven needed, or sounds like in the future with better involvement in the company it will be useful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are charity events, there are sports activities that teams create.

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Because it really does give you a different job perspective, it is a great company with amazing people. If you do an apprenticeship you are earning a qualification whilst developing critical skills.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
If with just yourself, or in front of interviewers, you have to be confident, show how you would be a benefit to the company by proving you have a passion in this field and you have a desire to be valuable towards the business for a good period of time.
