Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a Maintenance Technician is to maintain the machines around the factory and have the responsibility to keep the line running at all times. This could be small tasks or can be large projects depending on the days.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my program as it is a good mix of practical work and theory work which is all relevant to my role within BMW Group. I find that it is also a good mixture of work within the factory and education in college.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Throughout my apprenticeship I have developed on skills such as confidence, teamwork and problem solving skills whilst also learning new skills like motivation to succeed within the company. These skills have helped me to develop not only within the company but also outside the comapany.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised with college being the main priority during the first year and developing a good balance between college and work in the second, third and fourth years. However, college can be seen as a bit unorganised and not having a set structure which affects mostly during the first year but not future years.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from employers when at work or at college. I am able to contact managers whenever and receive a response soon.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I believe I receive adequate support from my training provider as I am able to get support throughout most things but some things such as theory can be seen as trouble. This is due to a lack of support when trying to answer theory questions and I believe the work load is too much.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe that the qualification I get from my training provider significantly helps me for work as I am able to learn relevant things that will help me throughout work
