the first year is full time college where we do general engineering and then we start at the bmw engine plant where we go into more specific job roles

i have learnt many skills in all areas of engineering working with many different tools and machines and in many subjects like mechanical maintenance, fluid power, plc's, electrical maintenance, electronics, maths, physics, etc

a lot of the apprentices have a football match every week set up and at the beginning, we have a team building experience at skern lodge for half a week

it makes so much more sense to do an apprenticeship than going to uni for a lot of subjects including engineering and bmw is just one of the best employers to work for; you a well looked after, get a really good career out of it and there's even a really good car scheme
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
just be confident and willing to learn and you'll get quite far
