Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am an apprentice learning about the maintenance role and participate in the activities they undertake. This involves observing the production line, completing planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

During the apprenticeship, I have been able gain new skills and knowledge, meet new people who have taught me about the workplace and I have enjoyed these experiences.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

In my first year I was taught how to use different equipment and machinery that would help aid maintenance activities in the shop floor. I have been able to apply these skills and develop them in my time on placement.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well organized with the placements being clear and aided by the placement managers to help us with any problems.
