Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
As an apprentice my role is to shadow maintenance workers and join in with jobs alongside them as this will expose me to the work environment.I also join meetings with associates when possible as this gives me insight on what is happening with the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I thoroughly enjoy the program as I have the opportunity to grow as a future maintenance apprentice due to the exposure.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt new skills due to the exposure i am getting with the business, every 3 months apprentices rotate to a different placement, in these placement i learn new skills which I may have not had exposure to in the previous placement.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I believe the structure requires improvement as the high amount of apprentice intake makes it difficult to allocate us around the business. However when in a placement it is laid out well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive good support from my employer as I am able to communicate easily with them if I have an issue
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I receive adequate support from my training provider, there are times where they may struggle to help us but overall the training is good.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The first year of college is good to gain experience and build a skillset which you will use when you're working in the business however in my opinion the BTEC course doesn't help a lot when it comes to the performance aspect of my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
there are several extra-curricular activities at work for example:
Conservation Team
Newsletter Team
apprentices go out to events to give insights on the apprenticeship to others
