To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
When I started my learning at New College Swindon it was different and had a big change in my life, but since starting I have thoroughly enjoyed all my time learning. However, some lecturers at New College Swindon have not been fully trained to teach us.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
In my first year I have mostly studied at New College Swindon where I am learning basic manufacturing techniques and skills that I will be using when I start in the factory.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
At first our training provider (New College Swindon) struggled to fit us in to the timetable and wasn't set up the best it could've been, but as the year went on we settled in more and it felt like our days where more suited for our needs.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Our employer is very on it and helps us with any problems we may have by quickly getting it done and speaking to the college.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My employer supports me completely, by explaining any opportunities I may be given or speaking to me about any questions I have and how I can go about them.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My training provider teaches my a basic understanding of skills I will need in my workplace, it also helps me understand the non practical side such as knowledge I will need to stay safe when doing activities.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are groups that help around the factory, a group that helps with fundraising events and newsletters.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
My friends would like BMW group because, it is an industry they are interested in and because it is a very supportive company with many opportunities and is a well known apprenticeship for being great.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
The first year is very full on and you likely wont have much of life outside of doing work and you will be straight in to the deep end, but other than this it is very good as long as you are on time and stay on top of work.
