Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

you will be line running along with the core maintenance of the manufacturing of body panels.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It is a very fun program to get involved with as you are able to learn something interesting, and get paid to do so.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have leant a lot about different engineering techniques and how to operate different machines such as the lathe and I have developed the skill of using a pillar drill.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is very well organized as there is a set structure to the four years of the apprenticeship meaning that there shouldn't be any doubt about what will be happening in the different years of the apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very good at providing support and will always make sure to ask how we are getting on with our training so that if there is anything that we need, we can get it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The support in new college Swindon is there and if you ask you can get it, however it doesn't get given as much as potentially needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training that we are getting is all stuff that will be used in different ways when eventually going into the full time position with the company. Different things that you need to known about wiring, or mechanical assembly's can all be used in various ways to help you within working at the company.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

BMW offer a move program within the second and third year of the apprenticeship where you can work abroad at another plant within the company. There are also different clubs within the company such as the newsletter team, and charity champions.
