Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves assisting in the execution of audit procedures, including testing various financial statement items and investigating discrepancies. I am also responsible for preparing and organizing audit documentation to ensure it meets KPMG's standards and regulatory requirements and aiding in planning and preparing for an audit.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme as I have helpful and informative coworkers and fellow apprentices who understand the struggles and have been in my position, I enjoy learning something new everyday on the job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, new skills i've learned are how to conduct tests on samples of an client, rules and regulations of auditors in the UK and excel skills to conduct and create workpapers.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Initially, starting the programme with limited audit/accounting knowledge was challenging as it's difficult to perform tasks as there is no knowledge. However as time goes on it's structured with a clear pathway that is able to be changed depending on my personal circumstances and any hiccups.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieved lots of support from my employer, early careers workers and fellow coworkers and apprentices to be able to learn how to perform my role well.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have gained lots of support from BPP, such as enthusiastic tutors, good resources and nice location of univeristy

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Very helpful. especially as the first exam explains and teaches the concepts that are cruicial to all audit work.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of after work socials with teams,co workers and departments aswell as many communities for different sports and nationalities and hobbies to feel a sense of community.
