Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
We spent the day with the female executives who work in the Assurance sector at EY, working on case studies and listening to talented keynote speakers.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was extremely enlightening to say the least. As a first-year undergraduate, I hadn't given much thought about what I want to do after university, so learning about the different roles within Assurance itself was informative and helped me learn about a path that I could potentially take once I graduate.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Coming from a STEM background, I wasn't entirely sure of what working in the Assurance sector involved. The insight program helped me gain a deeper understanding into the field, which also helped me decide whether or not this was something I wanted to pursue in the future once I graduate.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It is difficult to judge this since the insight program happened virtually. Nevertheless, all the members of the staff that contributed their time to this program were lovely - they were willing to spend the time to thoroughly answer as many questions as possible.

Apply to the Discover EY program - the application may be rigorous but at the end of the day, you basically get a fast-tracked offer for a summer internship.
