To start, BDO is very inclusive and I work with some of the most smartest and kindest people I know. In terms of culture, people value respect and supporting each other.
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

Work varies a lot from being extremely busy to being very chill. I prefer seasons of normal workload which sometimes you have to create for yourself either by delegating work or requesting for more work. I haven't good communication and negotiation skills as a result.
How well organised was your work experience?

Very organised. Everything is planned to the core. Schedules of work are sent 3 months before joining, and the first few months consists intensive training to ease one into the role.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

A lot. I haven't so much about accounting that I enjoy it now than when I was in university.

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

Done lots of training around ethics, auditing standards and expectations, as well as digital audit tools and applications. I am also training from my ICAEW qualification.

Everyone is supportive and friendly. However, it is a place where you need a good deal of personal initiative and organisation.

Absolutely, work experience is such that you can rotate in sectors and experience what each sector does
