Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Starting the day off by cleaning up in the morning, then completing some waiting jobs and doing the occasional odd job to help out some of the others by moving vehicles or bringing them round to the front. Then just working on vehicles throughout the day and doing some odd apprentice stuff every now and then like moving stuff or just helping out some of the other techs/advisors
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the apprenticeship a lot and i am only 8 months in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since starting the apprenticeship i have learned alot, covering the service side of vehicles and carrying out suspension jobs including tyres .

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very organised however skillnet can sometimes be a bit bad at communicating (havent had any issues the past 4 months however at the start of apprenticeship it was concerning, however they have worked on this and it is very good now.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get a lot of support from my employer including feedback and where i can improve.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider are doing a very good job to help me progress throughout my apprenticeship and prepare me for after the apprenticeship
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps with confidents, and also allows me to view other options with my qualifications (etc move countrys and continue to work on vehicles out there)
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Social activities happen twice a year, and of course bonding with some co workers outside of work hours too.

Why?
Its a healthy workplace, i dont go home miserable any days as all the managers are very nice people, and because they all have been in an apprentice's position once they can understand what its like, so they have experience in all different roles.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Ford Motor Company Ltd?
To just be honest and straight forward, as everyone at my workplace are all nice people and will help out anyone who needs it as long as they do not lie.
