Strategy Consulting Analyst, supporting Strategy projects. Working alongside business executives and leaders on growth and transformation programmes. Day to day researching, creating outputs (excel and powerpoints) and strategic thinking
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

6 years is a long programme. I have completed 18/22 exams. Whilst a generally good experience, demands between my programme and business areas often clash.

Learned many skills; problem solving, financial analysis, understanding of business and operating models.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The 360 programme was conceptually very appealing, but execution felt unstructured and difficult. Rotations often lacked personal influence and alignment to career aspirations. Training contract rules often restrict career aspirations and our ability to take autonomy and drive our own career.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Adequate support. There is resources available, but most support comes from our business areas, opposed to the Apprenticeship team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The quality of tuition is good, however the general service support is poor. Often an inconsistent and stressful experience with exam bookings, scheduling and clarity over requirements to complete programme and qualifications
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification does not play a role in my day to day. Having an understanding of management accounting theory is somewhat useful, but limited impact on my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Very social environment, with ah-hoc activities (drinks) and ability to get involved with networks and societies.
