Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Three days in the Deal Advisory area of KPMG. The first was in person in their Canary Wharf Office and the subsequent two were held online. They contained a mixture of group participation and presentation events. The final day was spent mostly on Launchpad, the KPMG Assessment Centre for the 2023 Summer Vacation scheme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I I have developed a greater awareness of what is included in the sector of deal advisory as well as confidence in interview technique and group discussion work. The preparation sessions for Launchpad were particularly useful for developing confidence in the above areas for the final day.

Very friendly, collegiate atmosphere. No enforced hierarchy and everyone is keen to assist.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I would highly recommend the insight programme as an enjoyable way to meet like-minded students and get a deeper understanding as to the work KPMG undertakes in its deal advisory department.
