Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I get to spend time shadowing my boss at the minute, and being involved in the internal campaigns and projects that take place within ASOS. It's Producers' responsibility to be the glue that holds the teams together, resourcing their time, and driving towards deadlines and delivery.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really love my programme. I think it's been a bit different to what I was expecting, in a good way, and because of that I've been more open-minded, whereas before I would have assumed I wouldn't enjoy it, when learning more I've got really stuck in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes loads! I've learnt how to use certain softwares that I hadn't heard of before, and it's allowed me to improve my tech skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Decent, and could maybe have been better for that initial first month as I felt a bit in the dark about what was going to happen and this worried me slightly as I didn't want to miss anything - especially as a newbie who wants to impress!
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Loads. ASOS as a company has already encouraged me to get involved with what's going on, participating in 'ASOS Learns' events, and attending Town Halls.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My line manager has been amazing at insisting the importance of delegating my time, and making sure that there's a healthy balance and it's not becoming too overwhelming. She's been so supportive!
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
I'm not sure yet as I'm yet to get into the depths of it! But I'm anticipating what I learn will be helpful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes! There's social events put on.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend ASOS to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Because I feel like I'm able to really be myself, and because I'm not worried about being judged it's so much easier to relax and feel comfortable in that setting, and you ultimately have a really great, positive headspace to get on with what you're focussing on.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to ASOS?
I would say that there's nothing wrong with honesty, don't focus on trying to be the perfect textbook candidate -just be yourself. And consider what about ASOS specifically draws you to it, and how you'd want to get the most out of that.
