Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work across a number of teams helping them identify solutions to challenges they may be facing around testing software applications. Working with individuals, teams and stakeholders of the teams to ensure clear transparency and best approaches for testing and quality.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I do enjoy the programme, I do find it to be fairly checkboxy and having to complete certain things in a certain way which can be frustrating.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've learnt about time management techniques, and about chairing meetings effectively. I've also identified weaknesses in myself and biases that I may have which have allowed me to be more mindful in my interactions with individuals.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It's well organised, and structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I have the autonomy to spend time on my apprenticeship which is good, but there are business pressures and deliverables that can limit the time I can spend on it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
They're on hand, however, the time with the coach can be difficult to get and having to book months in advance isn't necessarily ideal
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It helps in dealing with stakeholders, building meaningful relationships and things like that.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, but working predominantly remote, I tend to not get involved in them.

Pragmatism is key. Being able to be pragmatic when pressure is on is essential in being successful.
