Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My job role is as a reworker, this job means that after production, our department fixes any issues that need to be resolved before the vehicle is F2d. However, i've been on a placement for a couple of months so my temporary job role is different to my home department.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my course and being a part of the business as a whole. I have enjoyed the work I do as well as meeting lots of smart people. I have really enjoyed my time here so far and look forward to what the future brings.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have become more confident in terms of working on vehicles, using excel. My team working skills and time management have also improved a lot since being here.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
So far there has been very little issues. Anything that has come up has been resolved very quickly. The structure is very good and the support we get is very good.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support for my home department and placement departments.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive lots of support when im at Thatcham as well as online. There is always someone available if i need help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification relates to my job role however it's not exactly the same as in Rolls Royce. I don't think this is a bad thing though, as we are able to work on other branded vehicles and develop our understanding of different components.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have been involved in the Green Goblin kit car. This event is held every thursday, we help a group from a local primary school build go karts. This is good fun as well as helping others.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Because there is so much opportunity here. There are so many departments working together that you can experience many different roles within the same business. As well as there are very intelligent people that you can learn from to develop your own skills.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
I would recommend that a person applying should show a positive attitude above anything else. This is because skills can be thought but attitude can not.
