Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

working the the main spray booths and learning the day to day controls of the robots as well as learning how to use teach pendants to fix when errors occur. I also have to learn direction controls for making sure that the car bodies end up in the correct booths as well as ensuring they always have the correct status
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

my programme is giving me lots of new experiences in the workplace including interacting with a wide variety of people and further developing my interpersonal skills. it is good to be moving around my workplace and learn lots of new skills it means that my days are varied and this makes working even more enjoyable
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have been doing a rotation around the paint shop departments and have learnt lots of new skills including beginning to learn how to spray plastics and how to prep cars to ensure that they have no dirt on them before they get painted to improve paint quality and remove need for rework.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

the structure of my course can be good however in the beginning there was some problems and it did feel a little bit unorganized as i wasn't fully sure what was going on and what i was doing. overall now i am more into my course i seem to know what i am doing far more now and it is now more enjoyable because of this
How much support do you receive from your employer?

when i am in my workplace it is good support from my line manger however it can be hard to contact and feel supported by apprentice mangers of it is harder to contact them. overall when i am able to contact then the support i receive is good and really helpful
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

the support i get from my training provider is very good and if i need something i know i can ask for the support and i will recieve it to the best of their abilities. i also am fully sure what i need to complete by when to achieve my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

i think that i do find it sometimes a bit difficult to make my qualification relevant to my day to day work however i have asked for support with this from my line manager and have come to the conclusion that yes my course is not the relevant to my day to day work but it will be very helpful in the future if i move my way through the company.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

there are some activities that i can take part in in terms of recreational stuff including a football or basketball teams however I do not take part in these but i do get involved with including school events and being a part of the apprentice newsletter which goes to all associates in the BMW group.

Why?
rolls royce is a good company and i believe it is a great company to get involved with and will give me and any person who works for the company a good future and good career development and opportunities. there is also a wide range of jobs available for everyone's skill sets or interests.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
when applying for rolls Royce you need to play to your strengths with your application and really try to focus on your experience from past jobs or from school/college. it doesn't always matter if the experience is relevant to your job role it will show transferrable skills for the job your are applying for.
