Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I am an assembly line apprentice which means I learn different work packages on the line and also go on placements in different departments
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
As a whole i feel like i have enjoyed the programme so far as i've learnt new skills and experienced a variety of departments.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've learnt to work to a Takt time and follow work processes. I've also learnt continuous improvement methods and principles to help improve processes and working areas to make them more efficient.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
I feel like there is a slight lack of organisation and structure as we dont find out until late notice what is happening with things like non-lauch days/weeks. I also don't get the impression that there is much communication between apprentice managers and department managers as department managers are often unaware of mandatory apprentice activities
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
lots of support is provided by managers, for example if i have a question about something they are usually good at getting back to me with an answer
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
the college tutors are really good at helping us with our work and being able to go into depth whats required of us with our assessments
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The college course is fairly tailored to rolls royce as lots of terms used at work, such as 5s, are further developed on in the course
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There is apprentice social activities like going for a meal or going to the pub and there is also sports activities such as football and go karting.
