Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Producing parts for the cars, checking quality is okay and providing good quality parts.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
somewhat, my main issue is i effectively count towards the headcount of my department. This is both good and bad as i feel valued by my team but i don't think i should have this much responsibility.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Communication, teamwork

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
poorly structured. i have no input from anyone other than my manager as i just work full time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
lots of support just from my manager, very little from those in charge of apprenticeships.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
haven't been to my training provider in 8 months, received moderate support. one teacher was fantastic but the provider in general messed us around more than supported us
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
it doesn't :)
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
i go out with my department, not with other apprentices.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BMW Group UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
i feel like in general it is very good for apprentices, my cohort have just lacked support and get snubbed when it comes to getting recognition.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group UK?
Be prepared to work hard with little recognition. Hold onto potential of good job opportunities at the end.
